  13.       Effective immediately! SUDSW version 3.0 (see file SUDW30.EXE)
  14.       may be registered ONLINE through Compu-Serve.  The fee is 
  15.       automatically billed to your Compuserve account!

  17.       To register, type GO SWREG and select option 1 to register software.

  19.       To register Windows SUDSW:
  20.         Select registration id number 668 (or search on keyword SUDSW).
  21.         Follow instructions.

  23.       Your CompuServe account will automatically be billed the current 
  24.       registration fee of $20.

  26.       NOTE - If you are upgrading or taking advantage of the $5 discount
  27.       for including a recipe you cannot use online registration and

  34.   SUDSW is officially distributed and supported from the following
  35.   sources:
  36.      o Compuserve Wine/Beer forum (GO WINE) in library 14 - General
  37.        Homebrewing.
  38.      o The Power BBS in Distribution Headquarters library section

  43.   To get started, make sure that you have the following files from
  44.   your distribution disk (Please note, the SUDSW.WRI file is formatted
  45.   to be viewable with Windows Write - in the Accessories folder within
  46.   program manager!).

  48.         SUDSW.EXE      - SUDSW program file
  49.         BWCC.DLL       - Needed to run SUDSW
  50.         SUDSAHA.SDF    - Import file for AHA style guidelines
  51.         SUDSMALT.SDF   - Import file for malt/sugar data
  52.         SUDSW.HLP      - On-line Help file for SUDSW
  53.         SUDSHST.DAT    - SUDS Configuration data file
  54.         SUDSW.WRI      - Documentation file for SUDSW
  55.         README.TXT     - Short introduction to SUDSW release
  56.         REGISTER.TXT   - SUDSW registration form
  57.         RECIPES.SXF    - "Starter" set of recipes to import into
  58.                          SUDSW.

  60.   The first time you run SUDSW 3.0, it will convert your old recipe
  61.   files into its new file structure.  This can take several minutes!
  62.   The files SUDSRCP.DBF, SUDSRCP.DBT and SUDSHOP.DBF will be renamed
  63.   to SUDORCP.DBF, SUDORCP.DBT and SUDOHOP.DBF respectively prior to
  64.   the conversion.  If for some reason, you wish to go back to an
  65.   earlier release of SUDSW, you will need to rename them back to their
  66.   original files, then delete all indexes (DEL *.IND).  You can then
  67.   reinstall the older versions.  Once SUDSW 3.0 has converted the 
  68.   files and you are comfortable that all is working properly, you can
  69.   delete the renamed files.

  71.   SUDSW is distributed under the shareware concept which allows you
  72.   to sample SUDSW for a 30 day period after which the registration
  73.   fee must be paid.

  75.   Currently registered users of SUDSW (meaning you've paid the
  76.   registration fee), may use the upgrade FREE of charge.  No 
  77.   upgrade fee is required.  Drop me a note if you can so I can
  78.   update my user list to reflect the version you are using!

  80.   The current registration fee for SUDSW 3.0 is $20.
  81.  
  82.   If you include a beer recipe of your own to be included in the
  83.   next release(s) of SUDSW you may register your copy for only $15.
  84.   This offer is valid until 12/31/94.
  85.   Your name will, of course, be included on your recipe!

  87.   As a bonus for registering, I will send you free of charge the
  88.   following utilities:

  90.   o SUDSCM  - Add the ENTIRE Cat's Meow II file to your SUDS database
  91.               This will add 415 recipes of all styles!
  92.   o IBUCALC - Command line hop IBU calculator.  Great for determining
  93.               desired hopping!
  94.   o CATMEO2 - The Internet Cat's Meow II file for use with SUDSCM
  95.  
  96.   Please read at least the Introduction and Installation portions
  97.   of the documentation (SUDSW.WRI).

  99.   This package is not crippled or disabled in any way.  As long as
  100.   honesty prevails, these measures will not be necessary.  All I ask
  101.   is that you register the program if you continue to use it beyond
  102.   the 30 day trial period.

  104.   You are free to share copies of the complete SUDSW package with
  105.   anyone you choose.  That's how shareware works!  They, of course,
  106.   must also abide by the terms above.
